Two magnificent half-centuries from Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim propelled Bangladesh to a fighting total of 246, losing seven wickets in the third match of the five-match Micromax ODI series against visiting Zimbabwe at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Monday.
Shakib Al Hasan made the highest score of 73 (91) while wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored 63 (73).
Zimbabwe bowler Prosper Utseya picked up four wickets while Hamilton Masakadza, Ray Price and Chris Mpofu took one each.
The state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) and sports channel Neo Sports has been telecasting the match from the venue from 9:00am.
Earlier in the morning, Zimbabwe captain Prosper Utseya invited Bangladesh to bat first after wining the toss.
Tigers levelled the five-match series 1-1 after stunning visitors by six wickets in the second match on December 3.
Earlier, Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh by 9 runs in the opening match on December 1.
