Bangladeshi bowlers smashed the New Zealand’s top order and put the host into frustration in the lone test of Bangladesh tour of New Zealand at Hamilton on Monday.

The Black Caps were 209 for five wickets after being put into bat by Bangladesh on a seaming wicket after rain delayed the start of the game by an hour, and were immediately put under pressure by the Bangladesh pacemen.

A testing opening spell from Shafiul Islam and an aggressive burst from Rubel Hossain helped Bangladesh claim three vital top order wickets in an abbreviated first session at Seddon Park.
