New Zealand won the T20 match against Bangladesh by 10 wickets thumbnail

The host New Zealand won the T20 match against visiting Bangladesh by 10 wickets in only 8.3 overs at the Seddon Park in Hamilton on Wednesday.

Two openers Brendon McCullum 56 (27) and Peter Ingram 20 (23) were unbeaten on the crease.

Earlier, Bangladesh were all-out only for 78 runs in 17.3 overs after wining the toss.

Bangladesh middle-order batsman Raqibul Hasan was the only successful batsman who scored 18 (13).

New Zealand skipper and spinner Daniel Vettori grabbed three wickets while Nathan McCullum, Daryl Tuffey and Jacob Oram took two each and James Franklin took one.

Bangladesh will also play three ODI (day-night) matches and one test match against New Zealand during the tour.

The 1st ODI match will take place at the McLean Park in Napier on February 5, 2nd match at the University Oval, Dunedin on February 8 and the 3rd and final ODI match will be held at the AMI Stadium, Christchurch on February 11.

After the ODI series, Bangladesh will play only Test match schedule to be held on February 15-19 at the Seddon Park in Hamilton.

The Bangladesh cricket team flew to New Zealand on Jan 29 last a day after losing the Test series against India in home.
