India threatened Bangladesh that it will not participate in the upcoming World Cup T-20 and Asia Cup if Bangladesh does not support the revamp of administrative and financial structures of the ICC.

Indian newspaper Anandabazar Patrika reported about the threat today quoting N Srinivasan, head of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The twelfth Asia Cup is scheduled to begin in Dhaka on February 25 while the ICC World Cup T-20 is set to kick off from March 16 in Dhaka.

It is now known that South Africa, Pakistan and Sri Lanka had formally written to the International Cricket Council, asking for a deferral of the “position paper” proposals being pushed through by the BCCI, Cricket Australia and the ECB, the three richest and most powerful cricket boards.

The Big three- India, England and Australia needed support of seven Full Member nations to implement their plan.

They already managed New Zealand, West Indies and Zimbabwe in support of their proposals. They are now in need of support of one country.
